Dads First Post

This is to show my last 2 weeks efforts in preparation for Christmas, so Sid and Jenny with any luck you should have them by the middle of November.
I thought you might like a preview and I wanted to try my hand at posting to our blog.

Digi Scrapping

I've been trying my hand at digital scrapbooking lately, after discovering a few free downloads. So I took the opportunity to Digi Scrap Pan and Honey Bun, it was rather fun. Hope you like my first attempts. It is rather addictive and after seeing what it was, I've realised that with the programs I have, I have the potential to create my own digi scrapping kits. But I need to pace myself, so the business will have to be my first priority for now.

A Special Gift

The day before Simon's birthday this year, a special little girl walked into our lives. We found her wandering my complex, so Dad agreed to let her join the family. Such a sweet little girl, with unusal markings. We all fell in love with her rather quickly. Simon got the privilege of naming her Honey Bun. But there were surprises to be had, when we discovered that our little sweetheart was pregnant. She had taken to sleeping on Dad's bed and we jokingly said "Let's hope she doesn't have them there" and low and behold, at 1am one morning that's exactly what happened. Luckily Dad woke up in time, but she wouldn't have a box, so with lots of old sheets spread, he spent the early hours nursery her through. She gave birth to a little ginger female and a rather big black boy. Sadly the little girl, we called her Goldie, passed away when she was a few weeks old. Pan on the other hand soldiered on and is now a part of the family, with antics all his own.

A Sad Farewell

Although a lot of our family and friends already know of our sad news from early in the year, in case you missed out, this is just to keep you up to speed. Sadly we lost our beloved friend and pet of 15 years, Sebastian. His special ways will be well remembered and sorely missed. Such a special kitty, I'm sure he cursed me when I made him dress up for Christmas 2004 to be centre of attention on the family Christmas Card for that year. But this photo will always bring me joy. He was so good to sit and let us place a Santa Hat on him, made especially for him of course. However, he just wasn't going to wear the little boots we bought to complete the ensemble.
